Duke of Wellington
The Duke Of Wellington is a great gastro pub restaurant in Durham serving beautifully cooked food using the best seasonal produce. The quality of our steak, fish and seasonal vegetables speak for themselves. Menus include all your favourite dishes, from pork, sun-dried tomato and Parmesan sausages, served with mash and caramelised onion gravy to line-caught cod which we beer-batter daily and serve with thick cut chips, minted pea puree and fresh tartar sauce. Our chef Tracey is always rustling up delicious seasonal dishes that are truly worthy of the word 'Specials', using mouth-watering ingredients like milk-fed calf's liver and 21-day matured fillet steak. There's no need to leave the children at home - well-behaved young guests are always welcome in our dining area. We're proud to be a real ale pub and as part of the Ember Pub and Dining family, we are members of the Cask Marque Trust in recognition of our excellent service of cask ale. A real ale pub serving between 5 and 10 cask ales
